Translators and proofreaders

Our freelance employees are a central pillar of our success. Their expertise, their language skills and their experience help us to reliably meet a wide variety of customer requirements. We are proud to have been working with most of our freelance partners for many years, and intend to continue building mutually beneficial long-term cooperations in the future. We aim to provide as much support as possible and assist our partners with a wide range of tools. Our technical and quality assurance departments are always on hand to answer software- or content-related questions, and our project managers are also personally available at all times – we believe in straightforward, trust-based communication.

Our projects cover a broad range of topics, from GUIs for ERP systems to maintenance manuals for forklifts, from research reports for the aerospace sector to high-quality brochures for hair curlers or scripts for explainer videos. A good technical understanding and experience of the required language registers are therefore important prerequisites.

Please note: As part of our evaluation process we will also ask you to complete a brief test translation or proofread a short text. The texts for our test translations contain 300 words or less and are not taken from ongoing projects; they are sample texts relating to the various fields in which our customers operate, and prepared specifically for testing purposes. Your completed translation or proofreading test will be evaluated by the respective senior proofreader, and you will always receive meaningful professional feedback.

Our team in Bonn has grown organically. Some members of staff have been with us since the company was founded, and even our most recent addition has been a member of our team for almost three years. We are proud to create a collegial and appreciative working climate together. Our staff are all-rounders: we all have clearly defined roles, but like to expand our horizons and sometimes take on tasks from other departments. Of course we offer further training, whether in the form of webinars and self-study or through external training courses sponsored by the company. A high affinity for modern technologies, ability to take the initiative and a sense of humour help us provide the best possible service to our customers and partners.

Our interns gain insight into all the departments that make up a translation company, including the language technology department, project management and quality assurance. Over a period of six to twelve months our interns discover the variety of our day-to-day business, are comprehensively introduced to the standard CAT tools and experience stimulating interaction with international clients and vendors.

We consider it our duty to support our interns closely and provide them with an optimal foundation for their future careers. Our approach is successful: almost all our interns have gone on to work for us either as permanent employees or as freelancers in our network.

  • Sie pflegen eine Telefonliste und bauen den Kontakt zu Interessenten in den Ländern Deutschland, Österreich und Schweiz auf
  • Sie beteiligen sich an der Wettbewerbsbeobachtung und helfen uns bei der Bestandskundenpflege

Die Tätigkeit soll an unserem Firmensitz in Bonn ausgeübt werden, wo wir Sie auch sorgfältig einarbeiten und betreuen. Die wöchentliche Arbeitszeit beträgt nach Vereinbarung 15–20 Stunden.
